YEAR AFTER YEAR
As a practice following its dissertation, 'Year after Year' explores aspects of classic British subculture that still exist today.
Rationale extract: With underlining themes of identity and belonging, the project combines a sense of lost nostalgic scenes with new ones, as well as more confused styles. Each piece subtly connotes a different atmosphere, such as a sole youth grasping onto a classic subculture in contemporary society, to a boho store extravagantly aiming towards a niche customer and a simple independent record store selling only "alternative" music. Year after Year is a window into those subjects and their stories.
